The Yellow Sea
The yellow sea also known as the West Sea is a marginal sea located between China and Korea. A marginal sea is a part of an ocean that remains partially enclosed within islands, peninsulas and archipelagos. It derives its name from sand particles from the Gobi Desert sand storms that turn the surface of the water into golden yellow. The climate is generally characterized by very cold, dry winters and wet warm summers.
